The other day I had the furtunate opportunity to meet a wonderful author. His name is Frank Richardson. He teaches public speaking at Weber State University. His newest book is called Where the Sun Rises. I really recommend it. He takes you on a journey of the evils, and hardships of alcoholism. And the friendships you find in out of the way places. The book takes place in Seattle Washington, and Snowville Utah and the journey to where the sun rises. It is a must read.
Richardson reminded me that there is still good and kind people in this world. He is a humble man who has an unbelievable strong energy about him. I immediatly felt like I could talk to him about anything. Maybe it was because he was a former Chaplain during the Vietnam war. What ever it was I was immediatly filled with a softness of heart upon meeting him. After the week I have had it sure made me feel better. Thanks Frank for giving me the courage to see past my chip on my shoulder.

If you can't run with the big dogs...

Why is it that some people find it necessary to question your integrity. As a writer people trust what you write and they are so excited to get that story in print about their families vacation or whatever it may be. Then after you write the story and it goes to print and a few thousand people have read it they get amnesia
and forget anything you told them because they find they don't like what you quoted them as saying. If they don't or didn't want it printed then don't tell me! Because after it is in print you can't go back and try to say you don't remember saying that! Sorry people it does not work that way. If you say something you think will make you look bad or stupid don't say it! It is that simple! Remember I only write what you tell me or say to me. And if you don't like it to bad! I only write what I hear. That is the way it goes in the writing world.
I get to have thousands of people read my stuff daily in the newspaper. I love to write. I get to have anyone pick apart my writing and tell me they like it or don't like it. But hey, that is the way it is in the grown-up world. So to all you that think they can do better than me. Go ahead put on the big boy pants and go for it. Lets see how long you would last having people tell you that you are a liar and your writing is nothing more than hear say. I will bet on it that you wouldn't last for a week because you are too weak. Either that or your attitude would be like mine. Here is the middle finger to all those that think I am a liar.
